Multimedia Artist Bruce Butler is known for molding steel like clay. His metal sculptures are known around the world. Bruce Butler has been a Tucson resident since 1950 and is a graduate of the University of Arizona where his studies focused on Art and Education. He was a teacher of art in Southern Arizona for over a decade.
He has traveled extensively as an International Model. Bruce was the “International Camel Man” until 1987 when he was replaced by “Joe the Camel”.
His artistic force is incorporated in every aspect of his life, but he is rapidly becoming known for his dramatic sculptures. Each piece possesses an intensely personal presence and Identity of its own and is created from found objects and discarded farm equipment, making them one of a kind. His works are bold and powerful.
His pieces have been sought out by both private collectors and public corporations throughout the United States. Articles have been published about his work in the Tucson Newspapers and the May/ June, 2007 issue of the Tucson Lifestyle Magazine. He has also been featured on the Local News channels.
He currently shows his sculptures in Shaffer the Gallery in Sedona and the Galleria Tubac in Tubac.
